Registration for the winter semester 2022/2023

VWU classes are generally in-classroom courses with a blended learning component. It is therefore not possible to book a fully online course anymore. Depending on the pandemic situation, courses can change into online mode if government restrictions call for it. Should this be the case we will inform you immediately.

When?

The registration period for the winter semester 2022/2023 will be from 19th of August to 2nd of september.

Who?

VWU-German courses are only open to prospective students who have been granted admission to one of the Vienna universities listed below and who yet have to prove proficiency in German to start their degree programme („Fächervorschreibung Deutsch“, EPD in your admission letter).

  • University of Vienna
  • Vienna University of Technology
  • Medical University, Vienna
  • University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna
  • University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna
  • Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration

How?

The registration for the winter semester 2022/2023 is in-person. Please make sure you can be in Vienna during the registration period.

Kindly do not attempt to register before August as we are not able to take registrations before the start of the registration period, unless you have special permission from the VWU coordinator to register early.

What you need to register:
  • University admissions letter
  • Passport
  • €1.290 in total – €1.275 for your course fees + € 15 for materials (course books are not included)
  • Filled out and signed general terms and condition

You will receive the invoice and a registration confirmation for the course after payment as well as a placement test appointment for the allocation of your German course at die Berater®.

Where?

Registration is done in-person.

  • Please fill in all applicable fields of our online registration.
  • Upload the required documents
  • You will receive an e-mail with an appointment your your in-person registration.
    Please check the spam folder of your e-mail account in case you have not received a message from us.
  • After your in-person registration, you will receive an email with further information for payment and your appointment for your placement test.
  • Payment options: credit card, PayPal, invoice. Installment payment is not possible!
  • If you choose payment via invoice, kindly send us a confirmation of your transaction before your placement test.

After you have registered with us and paid for your course, you will receive a registration confirmation.

Please contact subsequently your university with this confirmation to register there for the semester.

Registration for continuing students (from our and other institutes)

How?

Please register in-person when changing from a different institute. Continuing students from our institute can register online on Moodle.

What you need to register:
  • University admissions letter
  • Passport
  • Student data protocol (Studienblatt) of the summer semester 2022
  • €1.290 in total – €1.275 course fees + € 15 for materials (course books not included)
  • Filled out and signed general terms and condition
  • Only for students changing from another institute: state from which institute you are coming from (VWU or Sprachenzentrum)

You will receive an invoice and a registration confirmation for the course after payment.

When?

The registration period will be from 19th of August to 2nd of September. Continuing students can already register before this period.

Where?

Changing from a different institute: in-person

Continuing at our institute: online

Students, changing from another institute:
  • Please fill in all applicable fields of our online registration.
  • Upload the required documents
  • As soon as we have received all documents, we will check them. This may take 1 to 2 business days.
    Please, check the spam folder of your e-mail account in case you have not received a message from us.
  • After reviewing the documents, you will receive an email with further information for payment and your appointment for your placement test.
  • Payment options: credit card, Paypal, invoice. Installment payment is not possible!

*please note that due to official regulations based on COV-19 the classroom course may have to be switched to online. As this is beyond our control, there is no possibility to withdraw from the course or to get a refund of course fees according to our terms and conditions. Please make sure that you have the necessary equipment (internet access, PC or notebook with audio and video) in case of an officially necessary change. Any costs arising from this will not be borne by the course provider.
