After successful pre-registration, you will receive a confirmation email with further information about in-person registration and payment. (Please also check your spam folder!)
After registration and payment, you will receive your placement test appointment and access to the Moodle learning platform, where you can find your registration and payment confirmation.
Registration for continuing students will take place from June 20 to July 4, 2025.
Continuing students are those who have already attended a German course at VWU or a cooperation partner.
The course fee for winter semester 2025/26 is €1,840 incl. VAT:
Step 1: Mandatory online pre-registration (upload of documents via Moodle): 02.12.-18.12.2024
Step 2: Payment (online): 02.12.-19.12.2024
Attention: Continuing students can only register during this period. Registration after 19.12.2024 is not possible for continuing students.
On the learning platform (Moodle) vwu.dieberater.com you will find step-by-step instructions for registration under the heading “Welcome to the winter semester 2024/2025 – Registration for the summer semester 2025”.
Mandatory online pre-registration:
Complete all relevant fields of the online pre-registration form.
Upload the following documents:
Letter of admission from your university
Passport or official photo ID
Read and accept the terms and conditions.
You will receive a confirmation by e-mail (please also check your spam folder).
Course registration and payment:
Course location: Handelskai 388 (entrance Wehlistraße 299)
Floor 4, 5th floor
1020 Vienna
When you enter the building, take the escalator up to the foyer and keep left. Walk through the hall through the door “Stiege 4”. Turn right around the corner and take or walk to the 5th floor. Register at the reception desk.
Getting to the course location
Subway: U2 Donaumarina (approx. 5 minutes walk to the institute or continue by bus 77A)
Bus: 72A, 77A, 92A station Wien Praterbrücke
Bring to the personal registration:
Letter of admission
Photo ID
Course fee in cash (please note that we do not accept 500 Euro notes) or card (ATM or credit card. Please note the card limit and adjust it beforehand if necessary)
After registration and payment you will receive:
Placement appointment (on the same day)
Access to the Moodle learning platform with confirmation of registration and payment
Complete admission to the university
Then contact your university to complete the admission process
Pay the ÖH fee at your university
Send us your matriculation number after enrollment.
In the confirmation email you receive after successful pre-registration, you will be allocated time slots for registration and payment on site. Come to the course location at one of the specified time slots to register in person. You do not need an appointment. Only people who have completed pre-registration, received a confirmation email and meet the requirements for participation in a VWU course can register.
Please register at the VWU (Sechshauser Straße). Information on online pre-registration and your placement test can be found at www.vwu.at.
The course fee for the summer semester 2025 is €1,565 incl. VAT (course costs of €1,535 (incl. VAT) + material contribution of €30 (incl. VAT)).
